Mrs. Kim Moody
Mrs. Moody is excited to begin another great school year serving as principal of RM Moore STEM Academy, a school which holds an incredibly special place in her heart. She brings twenty-five years of experience as an educator, all in CCSD. Her teaching career began at Woodstock Elementary School followed by RM Moore. She served two years of her career as an Instructional Lead Strategist at Holly Springs STEM Academy prior to becoming an assistant principal.
Mrs. Moody earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Kennesaw State University and a master’s degree in Elementary Education from Brenau University. She obtained a specialist’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Piedmont University. Educational Leadership certification was obtained from West Georgia University.
Mrs. Moody is looking forward to another successful year at RM Moore working with students, staff, and the community.
Assistant Principals
Dr. Leah Bleisath
Dr. Leah Bleisath is a native of Cherokee County, attending Mountain Road Elementary, Dean Rusk Middle School and Sequoyah High School. Dr. Bleisath continued her education at Brenau Women’s College obtaining her Bachelor of Science degree and a Minor in Dance Education in 2005. After beginning her educational career in Cherokee County, Dr. Bleisath later obtained her Masters Degree from Walden University in Literacy in the Content Areas in 2009, Education Specialist Degree from Piedmont College in Curriculum and Instruction in 2011 and is currently part of the Leadership Doctoral program at Liberty University.
While working for the Cherokee County Board of Education, Dr. Bleisath has served on various committees including; the Superintendent’s Annual Technology Committee, the Superintendent’s Annual Discipline Code Handbook Committee and the Superintendent’s Annual Cherokee Academies/STEM Education Planning, Development and Advisory Committee. She has also been a STEMCherokee Facilitator, STARLab Instructor, EdCamp Cherokee Instructor, helped facilitate virtual learning through Cherokee County and has been chosen to take part in the Superintendent’s Leadership Academy I, II & III. Along with her commitment to Cherokee County, Dr. Bleisath has helped the state of Georgia with the TKES/LKES Regional Feedback Effectiveness Division and part of the Georgia Milestones Data Review Committee. During her time as an administrator, Dr. Bleisath has spoken at various conferences throughout Georgia to help support new administrators transition into their new role. Dr. Bleisath has served as an administrator at E.T. Booth Middle School, Creekland Middle School and is excited to join the R. M. Moore Elementary School Braves family as an Assistant Principal.
Dr. Bleisath married her best friend from high school, Ryan Bleisath, who also serves as one of our wonderful School Police Resource Officers for Cherokee County Schools. Together, we have three girls; Kaitlyn, Jocelyn, and Tatum. If we are not at the ball field, dance studio or tennis court with our girls, we enjoy traveling and going to the movies. Dr. Bleisath is also a member of the Cherokee County Service League, giving back to the children in need of Cherokee County.
Jennifer Dupoux
Ms. Dupoux is thrilled to join the staff of RM Moore STEM Academy! She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Florida Atlantic University in Early Childhood Education and her Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from the American College of Education. She also has certifications in middle grades English Language Arts, Social Studies, and her ESOL Endorsement.
Ms. Dupoux began her teaching career in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. She joined the Cherokee County School District in 2007. She has experience teaching grades K-5. She most recently served as the 504 Chair, Response to Intervention Chair, and Testing Coordinator at Hasty Elementary Fine Arts Academy. Ms. Dupoux is honored to serve at RM Moore and looks forward to many amazing years to come.
